Seaturns at the Nice Ocean Business Forum 2025: Strategic Meetings on the North American West Coast

On June 9, 2025, Seaturns took part in the Nice Ocean Business Forum in Nice, organized as part of the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC 3).

This forum provided a unique opportunity to connect with major stakeholders committed to the development of the blue economy and marine renewable energies, particularly in:

  • the U.S. West Coast (States of Washington and California)

  • the Canadian West Coast (British Columbia)

We had the honor of engaging with several leading organizations and innovation ecosystems, including:

  • Maritime Blue

  • Meliorate Partners

  • AltaSea

  • Braid Theory

  • Canada’s Ocean Supercluster

These encounters opened up new avenues for collaboration and helped reinforce Seaturns’ positioning in these high-potential regions, where energy challenges and innovation momentum are especially strong.

Numerous business meetings opened promising opportunities for the deployment of wave energy along the U.S. and Canadian west coasts.

Seaturns with Waves of Change and EDHEC Business School: Global Outlook and Focus on Coastal Communities

On June 10, 2025, Seaturns participated in the Ocean Impact Forum, held in Nice by Waves of Change in partnership with EDHEC Business School and EDHEC Alumni, with the presence of François Gabart, a committed ambassador for sustainable ocean solutions.

This event, held alongside UNOC 3, brought together more than 20 speakers from 5 continents, in a series of panels and networking sessions dedicated to major ocean challenges: coastal adaptation, energy transition, circular economy, biodiversity, innovative financing, sustainable tourism, inclusion, and more.

Seaturns had the opportunity to pitch its solution alongside four other impact-driven startups selected by Waves of Change:

This forum was a key moment for Seaturns to reaffirm its leadership as a French pioneer in wave energy, with a specific focus on coastal and island communities (French Polynesia, the Caribbean, Africa, Pacific) and their need for clean and sustainable electricity.

Seaturns showcased itself as a concrete, low-carbon, and scalable solution to address the energy needs of the most vulnerable coastal communities.

Its technology fully aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, providing an innovative and effective response for the territories most affected by climate change.
