Over the last few years, technical and economic studies and tank tests (Nantes in 2018, Aalborg and Porto in 2020, Santander in 2021) have validated the relevance and performance of our concept. On the strength of these good results, Seaturns is now entering a more ambitious development stage. The next phase of R&D consists of the design, manufacture and sea trials of a prototype. It is this new objective that is now highlighted by this label! For more details
Seaturns conducted two weeks of tests in the wave basin of IH Cantabria in Spain with the technical support of INNOSEA. The access to the basin was financed by the European research programme MaRINET2 (funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme).
The Nouvelle-Aquitaine region has just voted to award Seaturns a “Startup innovation – R&D” grant which will help finance the design, manufacture and sea trials of a prototype. With this decision, which is part of the Néo Terra roadmap, the region reaffirms its support for the project after initial funding in 2019-2020 covering tank tests and studies.
Airbus Développement provides financial support to the Seaturns project! This subsidiary of Airbus acts in all the territories where the group is established to support innovative companies and projects, and to encourage job creation.
